Matches
Open matches are held every Sunday all year, (day tickets available on Sundays as well).
Our matches are well attended and that’s not surprising when you look at the weights. Five hour pole only match record is 213lb. Three hour pole only match record is 140lb. Silver fish only match record 48lb.
Please phone and book match pegs to avoid disappointment.
Please note that from Tuesday 12th May until 21st July we hold our Fox International Summer League each Tuesday evening and will be closing the lake to day ticket anglers from 4.30pm

Rules
All these rules need to be adhered to.
- DAY TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED BEFORE FISHING (first come first served, no running around the lake to get a swim)
- ONLY NETS AND MATS SUPPLIED BY CHESTNUT POOL TO BE USED AT THE FISHERY AND MUST BE RETURNED AT THE END OF YOUR DAY. (fee & deposit payable). Please bring your landing net poles.
- BARBLESS HOOKS (manufactured) MAXIMUM SIZE 8.
- STRICTLY NO LITTER, TO BE LEFT IN SWIMS OR DISPOSED OF ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERY OR TRACK ANYONE FOUND DOING SO WILL BE ASKED NOT TO COME BACK. If you find any litter in your swim would you kindly put in your bag, we try and keep the fishery as clean and friendly environment as possible.
- NO RODS TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED FOR ANY REASON
- MAXIMUM OF 2 RODS PER ANGLER
- CARP SAFE OR RUNNING RIGS ONLY. NO FIXED RIGS OR ELASTICATED FEEDERS.
- MAXIMUM LEAD SIZE OF 2OZ AND NO BRAIDED MAIN LINE.
- ALL ANGLERS CATCHING CARP, MUST USE THE UNHOOKING MAT AND RETURN FISH BACK IN THE LANDING NET, DO NOT CARRY FISH IN SWIM. ANY FISH OVER 20 LB PLEASE REPORT TO THE FISHERY MANAGEMENT.
- NO TROUT PELLETS, ONLY BRANDED CARP/COARSE PELLETS
- NIGHT FISHING BY APPOINTMENT ONLY – NO GUESTS
- ONLY ONE NON ANGLING GUEST ALLOWED (Must be over 18 years) during the day.
- NO RUNNING, BIKES, SHOUTING OR FIRES
- ALL PLANTS AND WILDLIFE TO BE RESPECTED
- CLOSING TIMES MUST BE ADHERED TO, GATES WILL BE LOCKED AT 21.OO HOURS OR DUSK WHICH EVER IS EARLIEST.
All members of the public visiting Chestnut Pool Fishery do so at their own risk. The management can not and will not accept any liability for personal injury, loss or damage of property. Management also reserves the right to ban anyone who is breaking the rules from the fishery. |
